Women’s rights and gender equality
Once in a while you hear or read an uplifting story. I would like to introduce, “The Women of Las Patronas”.
These women, for 21 or 26, years not missing a day, have been feeding the train Riders of Mexico’s “The Beast Trains.”
- It warms my heart to see that we are not totally lost as a species. We still care and believe “We Are Our Brothers Keeper”.My Abuelita e.g., “grandmother’, in all her ancestral wisdom had a saying “donde come 2 come 10, e.g., where 2 can eat so can 10.I realized he truth of this of so many. Upon my arrival here in USA, as a tight Community that we are, no one would go hungry here, we ate lots of beans and rice. As a child I have no true memory of being Hungy.Bendicion a Las Patronas, e.g., blessings to the Patronas, who gave me hope, there are still good humans. “WE ARE OUR BROTHERS KEEPER.
